Today marks the 40th anniversary of Airwolf.
Airwolf premiered January 22, 1984 on CBS in the United States and ended on August 8, 1987. The show spans four seasons and 80 episodes in total. The show was created by Donald P. Bellisario (Magnum P.I., JAG, Quantum Leap, NCIS) but stepped away from his role as Airwolf showrunner (though he retained his creator credit). He was replaced as executive producer by Bernard L. Kowalski.
